Privacy Policy for Updates

Salling Software AB is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions, you can contact us using the customer support widget on getupdates.app.
ANALYTICS
We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymized usage data. This helps us understand how our users are using our app and how we can improve it. TelemetryDeck does not collect any personally identifiable information. You can read more about TelemetryDeck’s privacy policy at https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
PAYMENTS
If you purchase a Premium plan for our app, you will be using Apple’s billing software to process purchases. As a result, you may be asked to provide personal information to Apple in order to complete a financial transaction. Salling Software does not have access to any of this information.
We use RevenueCat to support in-app purchases and subscriptions. We do not share personally identifiable information with RevenueCat. Their privacy policy can be found at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
We may collect information that you send to us directly (for example, when seeking support, sending us questions, comments, or reporting a problem) either through email or the support widget on our website. We will keep such information private and will ask for your permission before making use of endorsements or similar in our marketing. We use HelpSpace to provide customer support. Their Data Processing Agreement (DPA) can be found at https://legal.helpspace.com/en/dpa.
Data Retention for Customer Support We delete customer support tickets once the case is resolved. These tickets remain in our system’s trash for up to 28 days before permanent removal. However, we may retain certain support records for a longer period if required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
SYNCING DATA ACROSS CUSTOMER DEVICES
We use Apple’s iCloud services to sync information about followed podcasts, listening history, and other app states across your Apple devices. You may be asked to provide personal information when logging into this system. Salling Software does not have access to any of this information. If you want to, you can disable iCloud Sync in the app’s Settings.
PODCAST SERVICES
This policy does not apply to podcasts that you interact with in Updates. When you use a podcast in Updates, the app communicates directly with services run on behalf of the publisher of the podcast. You should consult the relevant privacy policies on the websites of any podcasts you are using with Updates.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS Some of our third-party service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms, are in place to protect your data in accordance with GDPR.
